You are an ideal candidate if you feel you have
sagging breasts. Breasts of any size can be lifted.

Like in all surgery performed, complications could
include bleeding and/or infection. A reaction
to the anesthesia is uncommon. The procedure does
leave noticeable permanent scars, thru time these
will be less visible. Future breast feeding may
be possible, since the surgery doesn't remove
the milk ducts leading to the nipples. Some patients
may experience a reduction or loss of feeling
in their nipples and breast skin, caused by the
swelling after the surgery. This usually fades
over the next six weeks or so.

It’s important to discuss your expectations
with honesty so that the Doctor can give his professional
advice. He will examine and measure your breast,
describe the procedure in detail, explain the
probable results as well as the risks, limitations
and scarring that may result. Pictures are used
for reference during surgery and afterwards for
result comparing.

Your surgery itself usually takes one and a half
to three hours. It is performed under general
anesthesia, you’ll be asleep through the
entire operation. The procedure removes excess
of skin, and moves the nipple and areola into
their new position. Then the skin is brought from
both sides of the breast down and around the areola,
shaping the new contour of the breast. Another
procedure is the periareolar incision, in which
a circular incision is made around the areola,
without the vertical and horizontal incision.
If you’re having an implant inserted along
with your breast lift, it will be placed in a
pocket directly under the breast tissue, or deeper,
under the muscle of the chest wall. Most of the
patients are discharged the same day or the next
after their surgery.

You’ll be wrapped in an elastic bandage
or a surgical bra over gauze dressing. You may
feel some pain for the first couple of days, but
the Doctor will prescribe medication to lessen
the pain. The stitches will be removed from one
to three weeks
Most women can return to work and to social activities
in about one week or less. Avoid lifting anything
over your head for three to four weeks. If you
